The majority of the British car manufacturers moved onto the American A.N.F in the late '40's early '50's, although some manufacturers continued to use the earlier B.S.F for many years, notably Morris Minor and Landrover. U.N.F is still very popular with Automotive restorers as it was used on so many cars ranging from the original Mini through to Jaguars and Aston Martins.
Grade 'S' is 50-55 Tons per square inch.
